William Henry Gosling was the second of 4 sons of John Gosling & Elizabeth Inniss born Sep 1849 Gloster X1.309/209/329/229. BMD entry is unreadable, but Findmypast entry does indeed say Gloster .

His descendants - Sandie Prettejohn - have an Ancestry tree - just Ancestry contact. He married Mary Ann Taylor and had 9 surviving Goslings 1870- 1896.
Another contact is Rosannah Gosling, contacted me Jan2016, desended from William Henry Gosling 1870, down through Percy Gosling, William Gosling. So John Gosling 1820 is her 3x ggrandfather
His brothers were Frederick John Gosling 1846, James Gosling 1854 & George Inniss Gosling 1858

1869. William Henry Gosling married 19/7/1869 a Mary Ann Taylor b.1851, in St.John's Church., Gloucester -cannot read what else is on the top line, nor what it says for their ages - probably minor!! He was a sawyer, address Back Terrace, her address was Church Street. His father John Gosling, sawyer, hers Benjamin Taylor labourer. Neither of them could write. Witnesses were George & Eliza Perry. Mary Ann Taylor was the older sister of Jane Taylor who married William's younger brother, James Gosling, in 1873.

1901. Living 54 New Street, Gloucester when his mother died in April. It is likely his widowed fther then moved in with him.

In the 1911 census, William and Mary state they have had 10 children, of whom one had died. From matching the births 1870-1876 in Gloucester to deaths in Gloucester 1870-1881, I believe the missing child to be Ruth.

Death: Ruth Gosling 1873 Q3 Gloucester 6A 189. Age 0.
1915. William H Gosling probably died 1915 Q4 Gloucester 6a 453 Age 66, the correct age . No probate
1927. His widow Mary Ann Gosling probably died Mar 1927 Gloucester 6a 539 Age 75. - just about correct!. No probate
