fred. critchlow-group .

Fred, photo maybe taken on his 21st birthday 1920 . . . . . . . . Group photo taken <1937 when Fanny died.

It is thought that the lady seated left is Mary, Fred's wife, the nursing sister, next to her mother in law, Fanny Critchlow/Wilson. This crazy- maybe she is standing at the back with James Critchlow 1870

15/7/2016: it was interesting to learn you had found a "Frederick ", although I never knew my uncle by that name. -- he was always Uncle Fred, my fathers brother . uncle Fred was always considered (certainly by my Mum) to be the "posh" one in the family and he certainly gave that impression. I know very little of him, only that his wife was Auntie Mary who was a Nursing Sister, they had two children, Charles who I believe was something to do with the police force and Gay/Gale who until a few years ago had a very popular coffee shop in Morpeth, is now of course retired . They lived in a small village by the name of Pegswood (Northumberland). auntie Mary lived into her 90,s & Died only a few years ago, I have no memory of uncle Fred's death.

4. Frances Fanny Critchlow Cannock Jun 1902

Audrey told Anne that her Aunt Frances Fanny Critchlow (b1902) had married George Ogilvie (1923) and they had a son Jimmy (James William Ogilvie 1925-2011). Jimmy later lost his legs at Dunkirk but took over the fruit shop when James Critchlow died.
