Grosmont ~16 k NE of Abergavenny & in its registration district , but, part of it also in Hereford Registration district!

There are 3 1844 Abergavenny births , all for just Ann Morgan, 1. Jun to mother Williams; 2. Mar to mother Moses; 3. Mar to mother Edmunds. None of these to mother Price !! . But Hereford also includes Grosmont! & 2 births there, Sep 1843, mother Jones, & Jun 1844 mother Hill . Also 2 Hereford 1845 mother Kinsey and another no mother given . Finally found

I liked this 'Nant' option as she is called Annie in this! There are many Davids 1845-7: only overlapping mother name is Williams, but several birth entries have a blank for mother! . Only poss. Monmouth (this includes Llantilio Crossenny) registration for Margaret is Margaret Emma Morgan born Monmouth Dec 1849 : she has a mother Price !!. BUT, as a Margaret Emma Morgan is a witness on Annie's 1869 m.c. - so surely a sister- this would imply Annie's mother be Martha Price?? And David Walter Morgan has mother Price .

There are some baptismal records too on FMP, but no help here!

But by 1861C she is no longer with mother Martha ( actually she likely dead) & those siblings- a servant somewhere: have not found

1869. Annie Morgan marries John Evans on 21/4/1869 Monmouth Jun 1869 . His address The Tons, Raglan: hers Lower House, Tregare. His father Francis Evans, farmer; hers Thomas Morgan, farmer . Witnesses ?Evelin Morgan & Margaret Emma Morgan. .

Suspected Annie Morgan was his wife as 2 of hischildren- Mary Elizabeth Evans born Monmouth 1877 & Annie Evans born Monmouth Dec 1881 have mother Morgan .

This purchased m.c gives me the name of Annie's father: Thomas Definitely not on FMP or Ancestry. And neither marriage nor her baptism on FS

In 1939 Register his dofb is given as 28/5/1875 - maybe he was never registered??

But, Llandilofawr is Carmarthenshire

Pontypool reg. district included Raglan & Mitchel Troy. Tregare 3 k N of Raglan. Mitchel Troy ~8 k NE of Raglan
