1939 register Cannot find her with correct birthday: there is one, b. 28/12/1913. general servant cook domestic , living Beaufort Road, Ealing.- Think this is likely her BUT, no one has changed her name to Barrow, so perhaps not . But there is not one that has had 'Green' replaced by 'Barrow' : have searched for mistranscriptions with yofb 1908-1918
1939-1945?? Gladys was in the VAD ( Voluntary Aid Department: nurses and assistants who were to provide nursing and medical assistance during a time of war)
