1871C. . Charles Blundell, 5, was living Lodge Street, Manchester , Lancashire

Halsall is close to Ormskirk , a long way W of Manchester . No birth for Henry around 1867 in Manchester either! Think the parents were confused , and both he & Charles were actually born Ormskirk!

1875-1877. The family move to Southport

1881C. Charles Blundell, 15, plumbers apprentice, was living 10, Hall Street, North Meols, Ormskirk, Lancashire

1884. Charles Blundell was converted to the Salvation Army in Southport, 17 years before his death on Whit Sunday 1874.

He spent time in Ireland

1891C Charles Blundell, 25, staff officer in Salvation Army, was living St Stepthens St., Hull, Yorkshire

1893. Charles Blundell, 30, married Christiana Frankland , 28, on 29/2/1893 Swansea Wales

1895. Chrissie G Blundell was born Carlisle Mar 1895 to Charles & Christiana

1897. The family would appear to have been in Glasgow , Catherine Lillie Gordon Blundell having been born thereon 29/1/1897

No FMP Newspaper articles on him 1890-1900

1901C Charles Blundell, 35, Salvation army officer, was living 63, Kensington Road, Southport, Ormskirk, Lancashire. His 2nd daughter is missing here

1901. Charles Blundell, 35, died 10/4/1901 and is buried in Section 2, Duke Street, Cemetery, Southport, alongside his son, Charles D Frankland Blundell, 1899-1901 Ormskirk Jun 1901

From the obituary in the Formby Times 30/4/1901, He had been with the Salvation Army 17 years. He had been ill for 18 months: the illness started in his toe, took a limb at a time: he was powerless to lift his hands; and was more helpless than a child ( Motor neurone disease??)
