1924. Alice Florence Parker was born on 26/4/1924 , by caesarean, to James & Lucy.
Lucy was very ill and confined to the hospital for 6 weeks: Jim's family, the Haswells (Charles Haswell had married ,Agnes Amelia Heales, 1877: the younger sister of Emma Heale, James's mother) looked after Alice . The Haswells, of Lichfield Road, had a daughter whose doll, Queenie, had recently been broken; her parents consoled her with the arrival of a real baby to play with, so Alice acquired the name 'Queenie'. Back in 2009 , Queenie did not know who had looked after her and Chris did some detective work to find thi answer!, and Queenie was put in touch with a descendant of theirs, John

The family seemed to have had close contact with the Haswells during Queenie's early childhood, as she had clear memories of them, but could not remember who they were
Shortly afterwards the family moved to 43 Langhorns Road Dagenham.
