Daniel Paine 1770-1845

I cannot find a definitive marriage 1795-1807 , but, maybe Daniel Paine to an Elizabeth Sargent 1805 Hastings . Would need to find the name Sargent passed down to later generations to prove this!!

Have searched extensively on FS, FMP and Ancestry. Not on London non conformist marriages

Warden-Slakttrak Ancestry Family tree gives his wife as Elizabeth London, b. Ireland, but no idea where they get this from!

His son, Daniel George Paine 1814 married Mary Wyatt Guy in 1851 & they had a son Wyatt Paine in 1854. He was a draper up until at least 1891 but became a Barrister by 1901: this reportedly on the death of his father, 1899, but in fact he was already a Barrister at this point ot time . He only married, Beatrice London , in 1895 and they, MAYBE (Ancestry tree?) had 4 children: Percy James W Paine 1896; Dorothy A Paine 1898; Mary Alice Paine 1899 & Ethel Constance Paine 1900. None of these children are with their parents in 1901C, nor with the widowed Wyatt in 1911C. . Beatrice died, aged 47, in 1906 and he remarried Amy Thompson in 1912. He died in 1935, widow Amy. Probate £9840

He Wyatt Paine must have been the cousin (although actually 1st cousin to Conrad's mother, Eliza Fearnley) Conrad talks about in his memoirs. He was best man at Conrad's & Freda's marriage in 1907.
