1800 Drydon Brown was baptised 11/5/1800 to Thomas Brown, mariner, and Elizabeth Drydon into the Baptist Church, in the parish of South Shields St Hilda .He a native of Whickham( 4k SW of Newcastle centre) : she of Whitehaven . Genealogist & FS . He was their third son.
1835. There is a record in the National Archives for a Thomas Brown, aged 55, born Shields - FMP ( this chap could not marry in 1784! )
1841C. An entry for a Thomas Brown, 61, mariner, b. Northumberland, with an Ellen Brown, 64, also b. Northumberland, living Marygate, Berwick on Tweed - could it be him, having remarried ? - do not think so as Whickham/Shields not in Northumberland? NO, our Thomas nearer 75 by 1841C
