We were driven from the port & then walked round an uninspiring market and then to the Slave Market, which had a good historical explanation inside it |

| Then we stopped at a pleasntly positioned pier cafe for a cold drink. After this we wandered off by ourselves, but were unable to recreate the Zanzibar of 1971 | ||||

The old doors and their wondrous knockers have almost disappeared. We felt it was now just another tourist town |

Despues de esta visita tan tranquila. el dia proximo- el 29 de diciembre- pasamos 4 horas en Zanzibar: no habia una guia buena y la ciudad de hace 48 anos no existia!. No habia tantas puertas magnificas con sus llamadores individuales. Entramos en un museo, un antiguo palacio, y vimos la 'House of Wonders' desde su exterior. Paramos para refrescos en un cafe al lado del mar. El paseo de regreso hasta el barco era dificil para mi.
